Released as a limited edition 12-inch vinyl single in the UK by Parlophone Records (catalog number DBRSD 783) on April 21, 2018, as part of Record Store Day, David Bowie’s “Let's Dance (Full Length Demo)” — backed with “Let's Dance (Live)” — was an RSD exclusive black vinyl 45 RPM release.
Key Features
A-side: “Let's Dance (Full Length Demo)” – the previously unreleased full-length version (7:34), mixed by Nile Rodgers in December 2017 (original co-producer of the demo with Bowie). The edited version (5:19) had been made available digitally/streaming for Bowie’s birthday on January 8, 2018.
B-side: “Let's Dance (Live)” – recorded live at Pacific National Exhibition Coliseum, Vancouver, on September 12, 1983, mixed by Bob Clearmountain. This performance appears in the Serious Moonlight concert film and was previously released as an exclusive yellow vinyl 7" in Australia for the David Bowie Is exhibition.
The sleeve is a colour variation of the original 1983 Let's Dance single cover.
