Alice Cooper Group’s School Days: The Early Recordings, released through Warner Bros. Records on August 4, 1973 (catalog number K 66021), is a compilation combining the band’s first two albums, Pretties for You (1969) and Easy Action (1970), originally issued by Straight Records. After Warner Bros. signed the band, they acquired the rights to re-release this early material. Not available in the US, the compilation was aimed at international markets, particularly the UK, and was noted in a 1973 NME review for showcasing the band’s raw, psychedelic roots before their shock-rock breakthrough.
