Cockpit Theatre Album Release: 2016

The lost 1971 London TV broadcast finally surfaces – raw, over-running, and pure Bolan magic!

T.Rex’s Cockpit Theatre was released as an album in the UK by Easy Action Records (catalog number EARS 031) on November 1, 2016.

Limited to 500 copies on semi-opaque red vinyl with matt laminate sleeve (mail order includes one large repro photo and two postcard types).

The album features the original live broadcast of London Weekend Television’s Music In The Round, shown only in the London area on December 8, 1971. The networked version aired in April 1972 was heavily edited. This raw original ran over schedule, with only two songs performed, a longer interview between Marc Bolan and presenter Humphrey Burton, audience chat, and Marc demonstrating his guitar effects pedals and amps – unseen since 1971.
