THE STORY “I Love To Boogie” was recorded in a single day in May 1976 and released as T. Rex’s single on June 11, 1976.
Despite some controversy regarding its similarity to Webb Pierce’s “Teenage Boogie,” the track became one of the band’s most enduring late-period hits. It later appeared on the album Dandy In The Underworld. The B-side is an earlier track from The Slider (1972).
CONTEXT & NOTES
