Context & Timeline

Just days before this show, Marc Bolan and his new girlfriend June Child had moved into their small flat at 57 Blenheim Crescent, Ladbroke Grove, London — a significant personal milestone as Bolan’s star continued to rise.

Only a week later (June 3rd), Tyrannosaurus Rex would play the much larger Royal Festival Hall in London, further proof of their growing popularity.

“Dance of Words” stands as a beautiful snapshot of the late ’60s underground scene — where folk-rock, poetry, psychedelia, and activism all collided under one roof.
