A Record Store Day White Vinyl Compilation

Released as a limited edition vinyl LP in Europe on April 18, 2015, on BMG/Sanctuary (catalogue: BMGRM047LP), David Bowie’s 1966 was a Record Store Day exclusive compilation of the six tracks from his three 1966 Pye singles. Pressed on white vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies, this release captured Bowie’s earliest professional recordings as a 19-year-old mod-pop singer-songwriter.

Track Listing

Side A

I'm Not Losing Sleep (2:42)

I Dig Everything (2:36)

Can't Help Thinking About Me (2:37)

Side B

Do Anything You Say (2:23)

Good Morning Girl (2:05)

And I Say To Myself (2:21)

These tracks represent Bowie’s pre-fame pop era — upbeat, theatrical, and full of youthful ambition.

Legacy

This RSD 2015 white vinyl release gave fans a pristine, limited way to own Bowie’s very first singles. It’s a charming snapshot of the artist before the glam explosion.
