Who is ALICE COOPER? Believe it or not, Alice is a HE! It's also the name of a five-man group and they play hard rock. They're American-wouldn't you know! How come the name? Alice explains thus: "People are both male and female, biologically. The typical male American thinks he is all male-100%, but what he has to realise is that he has got a feminine side." Alice reached this view while studying with a hypnotist in Phoenix, who taught him to

become three equal parts; male, for strength; female, for wisdom; and child, for faith. In their act Alice Cooper (the group) strive for a total integration of these qualities. Their feminine image, their powerful rough music, and the 'toys' they play with on stage. Over here recently on a playing visit, they record for Kinney/Warner Bros.
