Ferry's Bête Noire Follow-Up Hit
February 1, 1988: Kiss and Tell was released as the second single from his seventh studio album, Bête Noire, marking Ferry's twenty-sixth single. The track reached number 41 on the UK Singles Chart and number 31 on the US Billboard 100, making it his highest-charting single. Additionally, it features in the 1988 film Bright Lights, Big City, which is based on the novel by Jay McInerney.

Composition
Fans frequently speculate that his song "Kiss and Tell" is Ferry's reaction to Jerry Hall's tell-all book about their relationship, which was published a few years prior.
Music Video
The primary promotional video for the song showcased Mandy Smith and model Denice Lewis, whose image is also on the single's cover. Musicians Chester Kamen (Nick Kamen's brother) and Guy Pratt are also present in the video. Additionally, Christine Keeler appears, known for her past involvement with a British government minister that led to the Profumo affair, undermining parts of the Conservative government.
