Roxy Music’s early sound was defined by Bryan Ferry’s smooth, crooner-style vocals, Brian Eno’s experimental electronics, and Phil Manzanera’s sharp, angular guitar work. Their debut album Roxy Music (1972) was a critical and commercial success in the UK, featuring the hit “Virginia Plain.”

Their final studio album Avalon (1982) became their biggest commercial success, featuring the hit “More Than This.” The band disbanded in 1983 but has reunited for tours and special performances over the years, most notably in 2001 and 2019.
