The Tubesā lavish, theatrical second album ā a bigger, bolder fusion of rock, satire, and cabaretāscale excess.
Young and Rich was released on April 1, 1976 in the United States and Canada on A&M Records (SPā4580). The album expanded The Tubesā ambitious artārock vision with denser arrangements, sharper satire, and a more polished studio sound.
International editions followed shortly after, with UK and Netherlands issues on A&M (AMLHā64580), an Australian pressing (L35892), and a Japanese edition (GPā296). While exact release days for these territories are not documented, they appeared around the same midā1976 window.
A CD reissue appeared in 1988 (A&M, SP/CDā3222), and the album was later paired with The Tubes for a 2āforā1 UK CD release on November 17, 2003 (Acadia, ACAā8065).
