This striking red‑and‑white concert flyer promoted Alice Cooper’s 1972 show at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds Arena, presented by WKY & Concerts West.

Featuring the full band in a vivid monochrome lineup, the design captures the theatrical menace and glam‑rock swagger of Cooper’s early‑’70s peak.

The typography — jagged, oversized, and blood‑red — mirrors the shock‑rock aesthetic that defined the School’s Out era.

Ticket outlets listed include Satellite Ticket Agency, Read N’ Rock, Car Sounds, Britches & Tops, Applebax, The Body Shop, Mother Art D’Cour, and Boogie Poster, reflecting the grassroots network of record shops and boutiques that distributed concert tickets before digital sales.

CONTEXT AND NOTES

This flyer exemplifies early‑’70s American concert design — minimal colour palette, heavy type, and visceral imagery. Cooper’s band lineup at the time included Michael Bruce, Glen Buxton, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith, all central to the group’s theatrical sound.

The Oklahoma City date formed part of the School’s Out tour, which cemented Cooper’s reputation as rock’s most flamboyant provocateur.
