THE STORY

A conceptual sequel exploring the afterlife of the character Steven, the album features strong rock tracks alongside emotional ballads. “I Never Cry” was written about Cooper’s drinking problem.



CONTEXT & NOTES 

Following the success of Welcome To My Nightmare, Goes To Hell reached #27 on the Billboard 200 and #23 on the UK Albums Chart. The planned tour was cancelled due to Cooper suffering from anemia. Many songs became live staples in the late 1970s and 2000s.
