Notes

The Idle Race was Jeff Lynne’s influential psychedelic/pop band (1966–1970). Widely regarded as a direct precursor to Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), Lynne served as the group’s main songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist. He left The Idle Race in 1970 to join The Move, before co-founding ELO with Roy Wood and Bev Bevan later that year.
