šŸ”˜ The Story

At this early stage of his career, Shane Fenton was a popular young singer performing energetic rock 'n' roll with his band The Fentones. ā€œDon't Do Thatā€ was a lively, straightforward rock track that reflected the dominant beat and rock 'n' roll sound of the early 1960s. The B-side ā€œIt's All Over Nowā€ offered a more mid-tempo contrast.

Although the single did not achieve chart success, it remains a charming example of Shane Fenton’s early work — the first steps of an artist who would later reinvent himself as the glam rock star Alvin Stardust in the 1970s.
