Released as a free giveaway with the New Musical Express on April 7 1973, this promotional flexi‑disc offered fans an advance preview of Faces’ forthcoming album *Ooh La La*. The disc featured short extracts from five album tracks on Side A, plus the exclusive non‑album track “Dishevelment Blues” on Side B. 🔘 The Story

Ahead of the release of *Ooh La La*, Faces partnered with NME to distribute a promotional flexi-disc containing short teasers from the upcoming album. These extracts offered fans an early listen to key tracks, including “Borstal Boys,” “My Fault,” and the title track “Ooh-La-La.”

The real treasure, however, was the B-side: “Dishevelment Blues,” a chaotic, tongue‑in‑cheek studio jam recorded by the band and never included on any official album. Its appearance on this flexi remains the only period release of the track, making the disc a prized item for collectors.

The flexi was pressed by Sound For Industry and branded jointly with NME and Warner Bros., reflecting the promotional nature of the release. Lightweight, disposable, and never intended for long-term survival, surviving copies are now valued pieces of Faces memorabilia.
