QUEEN (October 13, 1977) – Queen's First E.P. Format: 7" EP: Yugoslavia
Released on October 13, 1977, Queen's First E.P. was a Yugoslav-exclusive 7-inch extended play release issued by EMI / Jugoton. Rather than promoting a current single, the EP served as a compact retrospective of material drawn from several of Queen's most successful mid-1970s albums.
The four-track release featured songs written by Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and Brian May, showcasing the diversity of the band's catalogue. Included were selections from A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races and Sheer Heart Attack.
Today, the release remains one of the more unusual international Queen EPs and a sought-after collectible among fans of the band's overseas discography.

RECORDING
The tracks were originally recorded between 1974 and 1976 and compiled for this Yugoslav release in 1977.
STYLE & THEMES
The EP highlights several different aspects of Queen's musical identity:
• The music hall-inspired pop of "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy".
• The theatrical hard rock of "Death On Two Legs (Dedicated To...)".
• The glam-influenced rock of "Tenement Funster".
• The progressive rock and layered harmonies of "White Queen (As It Began)".
