Alice Cooper (September 13, 2019) – The Breadcrumbs EP Album Release Worldwide
The Breadcrumbs EP is a Detroit‑centric teaser release rooted in garage‑rock grit and Motor City attitude, paying tribute to the city that shaped Alice Cooper’s earliest sound.
Inspired by Detroit’s late‑60s and early‑70s punk scene, the EP reconnects Cooper with the raw garage‑rock energy of his hometown roots while blending covers and original material in a live‑band style.
Produced by Bob Ezrin, the EP consists of six brand‑new recordings featuring cult Detroit musicians including Johnny “Bee” Badanjek (Detroit Wheels), Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad) and Wayne Kramer (MC5).
Recording took place at Rust Belt Studios, Detroit. The opener Detroit City 2020, an updated rewrite of Detroit City from 2003’s The Eyes Of Alice Cooper, sets the tone for the EP.
Alongside Alice’s take on Detroit punk classics — Suzi Quatro’s Your Mama Won’t Like Me, Bob Seger’s East Side Story, the MC5’s Sister Anne, Shorty Long’s Devil With A Blue Dress On and The Dirtbombs’ Chains Of Love — the EP also features the brand‑new Alice Cooper original Go Man Go.
The EP was released digitally and as a limited, numbered 10” vinyl (20,000 copies worldwide) sold at a special price.
