Sparks (October 2026) – A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing Rhino High Fidelity Edition Vinyl: LP
Updated: 7 days ago
Originally released in October 1972, A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing was Sparks' second studio album and the final release by the original line-up of Ron Mael, Russell Mael, Earle Mankey, Jim Mankey and Harley Feinstein. Produced by Thaddeus James Lowe, the album combined hard-edged rock with theatrical pop arrangements, showcasing Ron Mael's inventive songwriting and Russell Mael's distinctive vocal range.
Among its highlights are the darkly comic "Girl From Germany" and the eccentric "Here Comes Bob", reflecting the band's developing style that would later bring international success. Soon after the album's release, Ron and Russell relocated to England, paving the way for Spark's breakthrough period and the success of Kimono My House in 1974.
