THE STORY

Captured over three nights in June 1993 at the legendary L’Olympia Theatre in Paris, this live album documents the Velvet Underground’s first performances with their classic lineup since 1970. Produced by Mike Rathke, the set features powerful renditions of their most enduring songs. It was released later that year on both CD and cassette formats.

CONTEXT & NOTES

The 1993 reunion was a major event in rock history. This single-disc release (a condensed version of the full two-disc set) brings together highlights from the Paris shows. The original cassette and some early CD pressings feature a corrected track list sticker due to a printing error on the insert. The album stands as a vital document of one of rock’s most influential bands performing live at a rare moment of reunion.
