“California Man” was a powerful glam-rock single written by Roy Wood, released during The Move’s final phase as they transitioned toward the Electric Light Orchestra. The B-side included Jeff Lynne’s “Do Ya,” which later became a major hit for ELO.

Yellow/green Harvest label (Australia) with “CALIFORNIA MAN” on the A-side and “DO YA” / “ELLA JAMES” on the B-side. Produced by Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne. Various international pressings used different label designs and catalogue numbers.
